Our partnership with Microsoft assures that our technical staff has been properly trained in “best practice” procedures for deploying and supporting Microsoft technologies. In addition, the priority support our partnership provides helps us to resolve complex issues in the most expeditious and cost effective manner possible.
We make considerable investments each year in training and preparation for Microsoft technologies. We stay up-to-date on the latest certifications, with our entire technical team having real hands-on experience deploying and supporting Microsoft products. To maintain our partner certification, we are required to complete numerous projects of varying sizes and complexity. We hold many of Microsoft’s leading certifications, including: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP). As a result of our work, we were invited to participate in the annual Symantec Vision Conference.
We chose to base our Managed Services Program on the Kaseya platform. Our partnership with Kaseya enables us to transparently and remotely manage key infrastructure components including servers, routers, backup systems, and security devices. In addition, endpoint devices such as desktops and laptops can be managed using policy templates and automated IT business processes regardless of their location.
We partner with AppRiver to offer cloud-based email security solutions that we consider to be absolutely essential in today’s threat-rich environment. Businesses of all sizes must invest to protect their networks from threats like spam and viruses, scams and phishing attempts, and mail server outages. Do you support home/non-business users?
In most cases the typical home user does not require the degree of technical expertise we offer, and will be able to find more cost effective break-fix service from vendors specializing in the home user market.
What is your service area? Do you charge for travel?
We serve businesses throughout Northern California and customize Consulting Agreements to address each customer’s individual requirements including expenses related to travel.
Do you support Macs?
We support the entire line of Apple products including desktops, laptops, Xserve, iPads & iPhones.
Do you provide Fixed-Cost services?
We offer both fixed-cost and time & materials based billing models depending upon the requirement.
- Projects are typically driven by pre-approved proposals with the majority of work billed on a fixed-cost basis. Exceptions typically relate to components requiring third-party vendor coordination.
- Managed Services are billed on a fixed-cost monthly subscription basis, determined by the selected feature set.
- General Support services are typically billed on a time & materials basis, though we do offer fixed-cost support contracts. Our goal is to build and maintain a network infrastructure that significantly reduces break-fix work.
- Infrastructure Maintenance plans are prepared annually and can be billed either on a fixed-cost or time and materials basis.
I understand you offer Managed Services that potentially alerts before a problem occurs. How does that work?
Our Managed Services program is scalable. It works by monitoring key components of your network, including servers, switches, routers, and endpoint devices such as laptops and desktops. While not all problems give predictive alerts, many do, and this enables us to proactively fix problems before they become serious. We have eyes into the health of the infrastructure. Do you provide hardware and software recommendations?
Yes. We have formed partnerships with key vendors to leverage greater levels of technical support and training. We do not accept “finders fees” or any other type of re-imbursement for making vendor referrals. Our goal is to recommend the optimal set of services for each client and we strive to maintain an un-biased position in the marketplace.
